The channel dredging along the edge of Jalan Raya Pondok Gede RW 01 in Lubang Buaya Urban Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta, which started on July 4, finally completed.

Cipayung Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head, Dian Kartika said eight personnel were involved to dredge the channel from garbage and mud.

"Mud thickness teaches 40 centimeters and triggers the potential for flooding," she expressed, Friday (7/18).

Personnel were also seen repairing the damaged manhole cover, especially in RT 12/01, Lubang Buaya area.

She explained the personnel had to use a single breaker unit to break the concrete because the 40-meter-long channel was mostly covered with concrete at the entrance to the residents' house

"Hopefully, the channel will function normally again and can prevent flooding," she hoped.
