Central Jakarta Food Security, Marine, and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency and TP PKK planted 2,300 chili seedlings and 170 tomato seedlings in 10 urban farming locations across 8 sub-districts, on Friday (7/18).

For information, those 10 urban farming areas are located in KUA Cempaka Putih managed by Dahlia Farmer Group; Taman Hati PKK in Kemayoran Sub-district; Taman Hatinya PKK in Serdang Urban Village; Jalan Bendungan Jago RT013-RW02; RPTRA Pulau Gundul in Johar Baru, Taman Hatinya PKK Kantor Kecamatan in Sawah Besar; urban farming area on Jalan Keramat Pulau Dalam II, RT001-RW06, Kramat Urban Village, Senen Sub-district.
Next, urban farming area on Jalan Borobudur RW02, Pegangsaan Urban Village, Menteng Sub-district; RPTRA Mustika, JP Farm, and Rooftop of Central Jakarta Mayor's Office in Gambir Sub-district; and Food Security Garden in Karet Tengsin, Tanah Abang.
"Hopefully this activity can help meet household food needs, especially vegetables and herbs," he expressed.
She also expressed hope that the initiative would encourage the establishment of 200 independent food village or Kampung Mapan throughout Jakarta.
