South Jakarta Administration Ensures Readiness of Barito Traders' Relocation Site

South Jakarta Deputy Mayor, Ali Murthadho led the survey related to trader relocation from Jalan Barito, Kramat Pela, Kebayoran Baru.

Ali said the review was run to ensure that relocation area on Jalan Raya Lenteng Agung Timur, RT 07/07, Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa is ready to occupy.

"Relocation must be implemented since the area is impacted by ASEAN Park construction," he said, Thursday (7/17)

Ali explained the new 7,600 meter square land owned by Jakarta Provincial Government will be occuppied by traders from JS 24, 26, 29, and 96, as well as construction of several related sub-agencies buildings.

"It's hoped that this location will become an iconic spot in South Jakarta. This location will be home to all the animal vendors," he hoped.

Meanwhile, South Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency Head, Parulian Tampubolon stated the new area will be occuppied by 66 relocated traders.

"There are 118 traders, but we are only able to relocate 66 people. The remaining, fruit and food sellers, will be managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya," he stated.

Related to the relocation that will be run in early August 2025, Parulian added that his side has given socialization a month ago.

"They are ready to be relocated to the new location," he said.
