Mayor Arifin: Community Organizations must Be Able to Absorb Residents' Aspirations

Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin, asked government-formed community organizations to absorb the desires, hopes, and aspirations of his residents.

This unity will make the area safer

The community organizations in question include RT/RW, LMK, FKDM, Karang Taruna youth organizations, PKK cadres, Jumantik, Dasawisma, and community leaders.

"Residents' aspirations will be forwarded to the local government through the ranks, starting from the sub-district, urban village, and mayor," he said, on the sidelines of a gathering and regional coordination with the community organization of Cempaka Baru Urban Village, Kemayoran on Wednesday night (7/23).

According to him, they play an important role in helping to provide services to the community because local government officials cannot work alone.

"Hopefully, the administrators of community organizations in Cempaka Baru become role models for other neighborhoods, namely harmonious and united. Insya Allah (God willing), this unity will make the area safer," he expressed.

Kemayoran Sub-district Head, Dicky Suherlan appreciated the teamwork of the community organization administrators of Cempaka Baru Urban Village.

"I feel comfortable seeing the RT/RW, LKM administrators, and other components working together hand in hand," he explained.

Jakarta City Council Commission A Member, Nuchbatillah, who attended this event, appreciated the performance of Central Jakarta City administration who continue to improve services to the community.

He also gathered public aspirations when holding the reception, like construction of a Community Health Center in Gunung Sahari Selatan Village, which was also voiced through Musrenbang.

"We're ready to ensure that healthcare centers are available, so residents don't have to travel far to seek treatment when they are sick," he asserted.
