Satpol PP Prepares Special Personnel for Tourist Areas

Jakarta Satpol PP is about to place special personnel for tourist and entertainment areas.

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Satriadi Gunawan explained Tourism Satpol PP is not a new unit, but rather special assignments for existing personnel.

"We assign existing personnel to work in areas that are the location of entertainment events or tourist destinations," he said, Thursday (7/24).

C. Jakarta Satpol PP Tightens Supervision at Monas

These personnel will be provided with special training, including foreign language skills such as English, so they can provide accurate information to tourists.

Although it hasn't been implemented in Jakarta yet, Satriadi stated that several other regions in Indonesia have already implemented similar programs. This is possible due to the legal framework provided by the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation.

"Several regions have already implemented it. So, nationally, this isn't new, but it hasn't been implemented in Jakarta yet," he added.

According to him, the main task of the Tourism Satpol PP personnel is to ensure the smooth and safe running of tourism activities, while also acting as an information center for visitors.

"These Satpol PP personnel are selected for having certain qualifications, especially foreign language skills," he stated.
