Dozens of Tabebuia Trees Planted at Tanah Kusir Cemetery

South Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency planted 60 tabebuia trees at Tanah Kusir Cemetery.

This movement will be intensified

South Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency's Head Section of Greenland and Cemetery, Arwin Adlin said the planting is part of effort in reducing the impact of global warming.

"It is also run to add more green open space in South Jakarta," he said, Friday (7/25).

He hopes that the reforestation carried out by planting both productive and protective trees will provide a good example for residents to carry out similar activities in their environment.

"This movement will be intensified by targeting area with low plants," he added.

One of local residents, Wahyu, appreciated the planting at the cemetery. This will make pilgrims more comfort.

"This program is excellent. Big scale of trees planting has been conducted twice along this year at the cemetery," he admitted.
