Bukan Hanya ASN, Pemprov DKI Gratiskan Transportasi Umum untuk 15 Golongan Masyarakat

Free Public Transportation for 15 Community Groups, Here're the Details

The Jakarta Government says the free fare policy for public transportation services is not only given to civil servants (ASN), but also various other community groups.

This policy is a form of the Jakarta Government's support for the wider community

This is following Gubernatorial Regulation No. 133/2018 on Third Amendment to No. 160/2016 on Free Transjakarta Services and Free Buses for the Community.

There are a total of 15 community groups that receive free of charge fares for Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta services.

"This policy is a form of the Jakarta Government's support for the wider community, especially vulnerable groups and those who contribute significantly to the city," expressed Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo, Wednesday (8/6).

He explained this policy is part of the Jakarta Government's broader strategy to encourage the transition of the community from private vehicles to public transportation.

"This aims to parse traffic congestion, curb air pollution, and create more efficient and inclusive urban mobility," he explained.

With the participation of the entire community, this transportation transformation would make Jakarta a more livable, competitive, and environmentally friendly city.

"Besides being integrated, we want all layers of society to have access to our public transportation," he asserted.

Here are the 15 social groups entitled to free fare facilities:

• Jakarta Civil Servants (PNS) and retired civil servants
