Blue Team Builds New Channel on Jalan Muara Baru Ujung

The Penjaringan Sub-district Water Resources Implementation Unit (SDA), North Jakarta, is constructing a new water channel on Jalan Muara Baru Ujung, RT 20/18, Penjaringan Urban Village.

"The work has been ongoing since August 6 and is targeted for completion by the end of this month," said Penjaringan Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Pendi, Thursday (8/7).
He explained the channel is made 21 meters long with a width of 30 centimeters and a height of 40 centimeters.
Water Channel Construction on Jalan Pembangunan Reaches 95 Percent"First, we will do the breaking process, then install the bikisting for building the retaining wall with river stones. Afterward, plaster it with cement to make it smooth," he explained.
He added 14 workers were sent to execute the work which is aimed to anticipate flooding.
"Residents must also help maintain the cleanliness of the channels by not littering," he added.
The work received appreciation from a resident, Hamid (49).
"Hope everything goes smoothly and finishes quickly so that our neighborhood is free from floods," he hoped.
