Public Order Operation Controlled 102 Violators in West Jakarta

West Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Agus Irwanto explained the violators were two motorcycle workshop owners, one stall of stainless steel maker, 58 motorcycles, two four-wheeled vehicles, and 31 street vendors.

"We also found people who deliberately damaged traffic signs to open up illegal operation space on the road," he explained, Friday (8/8).

Agus added that the operation was focused on controlling street vendors on sidewalk, illegal parking attendants, illegal parking, and people with Social Welfare Service Needs.

"We involved 250 joint personnel of Satpol PP, Social Sub-agency, Transportation Sub-agency, as well as police and army," he added.

Agus emphasized the importance of maintaining the order of public facilities such as sidewalks, traffic signs, and road space so that they function according to their intended use.

He also appealed Satpol PP personnel in urban village and district to actively monitor the surrounding and take strict sanction for any violation.

"I instruct all ranks to prioritize a humane and measured approach, without arrogance to maintain regional stability," he admitted.
