"The budget is truly directed towards flood management so that the impact can be felt by the residents," he expressed, Thursday (8/14).

One of the main programs is the acceleration of the National Strategic Project (PSN) for the normalization of Kali Ciliwung. This project still has about 11 kilometers remaining.

Further, the land acquisition process for residents affected by the project will receive special attention.

"Compensation benefits for residents whose land is affected by the normalization project have already been allocated in the budget," he explained.

He hoped that with the normalization of the Ciliwung River, floods in Jakarta could be better controlled and no longer become an recurring annual problem.
