Two Fires in South Jakarta Successfully Extinguished

South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency personnel successfully extinguished fire incidents on Jalan Hidup Baru, Gandaria Utara, Kebayoran Baru District and on Jalan Kampung Melayu Barat, Bukit Duri, Tebet District.

The Sub-agency Head, Syamsul Huda admitted fires occurred in two different locations at almost the same time today.

"The fire incident in Gandaria Utara occurred at 10:11 AM and in Bukit Duri at 10:28 AM," he said, Thursday (8/21).

According to him, personnel from other sectors and sub-agency level were deployed to maximize the effort. 16 firetrucks with 50 personnel were deployed to extinguish fire that burned two houses and three stalls in Gandaria Utara.

"There were no fatalities in this incident. We declared the extinguishing process complete at 11.19 AM," he added.

Meanwhile, 17 firetrucks with 50 personnel were deployed to extinguish fire that burned three houses in Bukit Duri Urban Village.

"The process was completed at 11:47 AM. The incidents were allegedly caused by electrical short," he continued.
