Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung confirmed that conditions in Jakarta have returned to normal following the demonstrations that occurred over the past few days. This is shown by the return of various activities in the city.

"I'm here today, and I also want to show the public that Jakarta is now back to normal. This is what's important," Pramono said in Jakarta International University (UNIJI), Tuesday (9/2).

Pramono added that the Jakarta Provincial Government immediately took steps to accelerate recovery, one of them was by operating all public transportation services such as the MRT, Transjakarta, and LRT, since yesterday.

All transportation services managed by the Jakarta Provincial Government will be free until September 8, along with the repair of all Transjakarta bus stops and MRT stations.

"Public can use Transjakarta and MRT for free up to September 8," he added.

About 22 Transjakarta bus stops and one MRT station were affected by the demonstrations. One of the infrastructure facilities that suffered severe damage was the Senen bus stop.

Furthermore, Pramono expressed his appreciation for the collaborative efforts between the government and the community. The community's involvement in repairing damaged facilities demonstrates that all parties are working together to protect Jakarta.

"I'm grateful that in Jakarta, mutual cooperation has resurfaced and is incredibly strong. Something I never imagined, neighborhood associations (RT/RW) have emerged, community leaders have gathered, and they've declared their commitment to protecting their neighborhoods," he explained.
