46 Trees Planted in Rambutan Utara Reservoir

East Jakarta Deputy Mayor, Kusmanto led the planting of 46 trees in Rambutan Utara Reservoir, RW 06, Rambutan Urban Village, Ciracas District.

Kusmanto said the planting was part of routine program namely Planting on Friday. The program aims to make East Jakarta greener.

"Today's activity was focused in Rambutan Utara Reservoir," he said, Friday (9/12).

According to him, this tree planting is optimized by utilizing the green open space belonging to the Jakarta Provincial Government.

"The planting is also important to improve air quality while providing comfort to people who carry out activities at the reservoir," he added.

Head of East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency, Dwi Ponangsera explained his side provided five Yellow Tabebuya trees, five Pink Tabebuya trees, and two Buttercup trees for today's activity.

Mranwhile, East Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency Head, Taufik Yulianto stated the agency also provided 30 rambutan trees, two mango trees, and two guava trees, as well as 10 bags of planting media.

"We maximize the planting of Rambutan trees as the area is also called Rambutan," he stated.
