JITEX 2025 Expected to Boost Economic Growth

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno opened the Jakarta International Investment, Trade, Tourism and SME Expo (JITEX) 2025 at Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (9/17).

Rano explained that JITEX is an exhibition event that showcases superior products from Jakarta's MSMEs, ranging from fashion, culinary, to manufactured products.

"JITEX 2025 is a forum for business meetings between suppliers and buyers, both from the private sector, regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and government, both at the local and international levels," said Rano.

The exhibition is held five days on September 17-21, 2025. In addition to product exhibitions, the JITEX event also includes discussion forums that bring buyers with investors and international partners, business seminars, and investment development talk shows.

"JITEX also provides Jakarta International Collaboration Expo (JICE) participated by 21 sister cities, ambassador representatives, and world chamber of commerce," he added.

Carrying the theme "Jakarta is Connecting to the Future," JITEX is expected to be a driving force for the capital's economic growth. Rano emphasized that this event must continue and be held annually.

"This is the second time. Hopefully, by 2027, we can expand it again with a transaction target of over Rp 14 trillion. Last year achievement was Rp 12.9 trillion, while this year is Rp 14.9 trillion," he explained.

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Sub-agency, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, stated JITEX was born from collaboration with the full support of the Jakarta Provincial Government.

According to her, this event not only strengthens collaboration between national and international business actors, but also opens wider access to new, competitive business opportunities.

"JITEX also provides space for the participation of people with disabilities as a manifestation of inclusivity. Their presence reinforces our commitment to building a just, equal, and sustainable economic ecosystem," she admitted.
