Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung requested Jakarta Transportation Agency to cooperate the Semanggi 1 and 2 Toll Gate repair schedules. This follows the severe traffic jams that occurred on various roads in Jakarta on Wednesday (9/24) evening.

Pramono explained that the traffic jam was the result of repairs being carried out at the Semanggi 1 and 2 toll gates, which were damaged following previous demonstrations. He stated that repairs should not have been carried out during rush hour.

"I already requested Head of Transportation Agency to cooperate the schedules. Please do not do it again during rush hour," said Pramono, Thursday (9/25).
He suggested that toll gate repairs to be carried out on holidays to prevent serious traffic jams.
"The repairs should be run during weekends," Pramono suggested.
Previously, Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung regretted the traffic jams that hit a number of roads in Jakarta on Wednesday (9/24) evening.
According to him, the lengthy toll gate repairs were the main cause of the long queues and widespread congestion.
Therefore, the Jakarta Provincial Government is demanding accountability from Jasa Marga, the party responsible for toll road management. Pramono emphasized the need to prevent similar incidents from recurring in the future.
