Jaga Jakarta Post Set Up on Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya

Jaga Jakarta post has been set up on Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Kartini Urban Village, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.

Kartini Urban Village Head, Ati Mediana, said a joint team of RT/RW administrators, LMK, Pokdar, and Central Jakarta Metro Police officers has been assigned to this post to prevent street racing in the area.

"The post was established to deter street racing, which often takes place along Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya on Friday and Saturday nights," she explained, on Monday (10/6).

In addition, Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency has also repaired speed traps along Jalan Gunung Sahari Utara.

Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Head, M. Soleh, stated that four speed traps were previously in poor condition, making the road a frequent spot for street racing at night.

"We've restored the function of the four speed traps installed along Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Kartini, Sawah Besar," he mentioned.

Sawah Besar Sub-district Deputy Head, Andre Ravnic, added that the authorities responded swiftly to residents' complaints about street racing on the road.

"Hopefully, this will put an end to street racing at the location," he said.
