Orange Personnel Clean Fire Debris in Utan Kayu Selatan

As many as 15 PPSU personnel were deployed to clean up fire debris on Jalan Kelapa Tunggal, RT 08/09, Utan Kayu Selatan Urban Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta.

Head of Utan Kayu Selatan Urban Village, Rusli Abidin, said the cleaning has been running since Tuesday (10/7) and is continued today.

"PPSU personnel were also assisted by Matraman District's Environmental Unit," he said, Wednesday (10/8).

Rusli explained one dump truck was also deployed to transport the debris to Bantar Gebang Dump Site.

He reminded residents to be more alert to the potential for fires that can occur anytime and anywhere, especially due to negligence.

"I hope residents also support the policy of having light extinguisher," he explained.

Meanwhile, Head of RW 09, Utan Kayu Selatan Urban Village, Adang Rahmat Permana appreciated the East Jakarta Administration for this quick handling.

According to Adang, the assistance provided across agencies has been extremely helpful to residents. Urgent needs, such as refugee tents, ready-to-eat meals, and clothing, have been met thanks to the support of various parties.

"It is extraordinary, all agencies moved quickly in handling the situation, both during and after the fire, he admitted.
