City Government Presents Bulky Waste Collection Services

The Jakarta Environmental Agency introduces an innovative large-scale or bulky waste collection service with a more convenient and transparent system.

This service is available to prevent the improper disposal of bulky waste

Residents can easily access this service through the digital platform at lingkunganhidup.jakarta.go.id/bulky/lacak.

By accessing the platform, residents can submit a pickup request and track the transportation status, similar to delivery services on a marketplace.

Jakarta Environmental Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto said, this innovation aims to help Jakarta residents dispose of large, unused items responsibly and properly, such as mattresses, sofas, tables, cabinets, and other household appliances.

"This service is available to prevent the improper disposal of bulky waste that can potentially pollute the environment, clog water channels, and pile up in random places," he expressed, Friday (10/10).

He explained this system is part of the Jakarta government's commitment to improving the efficiency and accountability of waste management.

He hoped that with easily accessible services and transparent processes, the community would no longer dispose of bulky items carelessly.

"We want to ensure that bulky waste can be managed quickly, transparently, and environmentally friendly. With this platform, residents are encouraged to take more responsibility in waste management, for a greener and more sustainable Jakarta," he explained.

Aside that, the Environmental Agency also offers Electronic Waste Pickup services.

"All these services are free of charge," he stated.

As information, residents who want to use this service simply access the website lingkunganhidup.jakarta.go.id, then select the 'Layanan' menu and click on the 'Bulky Waste' sub-menu. After that, users will be asked to fill in their personal data and the transportation request form.

Incoming requests will be verified. If approved, officers from the City/Regency Environmental Agency or the related Sub-district Environmental Implementation Unit will personally collect the waste from the applicant's location.

Even, residents can also personally deliver large trash to the designated collection points.

To ensure transparency, residents can monitor the entire process through the 'Lacak' feature at the link lingkunganhidup.jakarta.go.id/bulky/lacak. This feature allows applicants to see the pickup status in real time, from validation to transportation completion.
