Sidewalk on Jalan Srengseng Arranged

As many as 30 joint personnel of Satpol PP, police, army, PPSU of Srengseng Urban Village PPSU, as well as Kembangan District's City Park and Forestry Unit arranged the sidewalk of Jalan Srengseng Raya, Thursday (10/16).

Head of Srengseng Urban Village, Adith Pratama said the arrangement included cleaning and controlling illegal parking and street vendors on sidewalk.

According to him, the activity is part of area revitalization run by West Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency. Later on, the area will be used as pedestrian green space.

"We're trying to manage the area as the green space," he said.

He explained that the arrangement work will be carried out in stages. The cleanup is targeted to be completed by this afternoon at the latest.

"Hopefully the arrangement to complete in one or two weeks," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of Kembangan District's City Park and Forestry Unit, Agustinus Asayuda stated the sidewalk that will be arranged as a greening area has a total area of ​​approximately 98 square meters.

Apart from reducing pollution, said Agustinus, the existence of the buffer area will also beautify the area.

"We're trying to beautify the area with pink tabebuia trees," he stated.
