Basuki Apresiasi Bazis Terapkan Transaksi Non Tunai

Ahok Appreciates Transparency of Bazis Distribution Fund

Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama appreciates the performance of The Jakarta Muslim Charity Collection Board (Bazis) that applies donations distribution by using non cash system this year. He hoped by this non cash transaction for donations distribution, data and recipient number is getting clear.

No more cash system this year

"No more cash system this year," said Ahok when he attended Peduli Umat event, at Plenary Hall JCC, Senayan, Wednesday (7/8).

According to him, cash transaction is very vulnerable to misuse. Even he assessed the easiest way to trick someone is by using religious element. "For example, the donation proposed for 1000 people, but in fact it's only for 100 people," he quipped.

Basuki Wants Alms Collection Done Through Bank Transfer

Even starting from this year, each urban village and sub-district are not allowed soliciting donations. As it is considered as compulsion.
