Dozens of Officers Maintain Cleanliness and Security of Venues in Jakarta

The East Jakarta Youth Arena Management Unit deployed 96 cleaning and security personnel at six venues used for National Student Sports Week (POPNAS) XVII and National Student Paralympic Week (PEPARPENAS) XI.

They will be on standby throughout the event

Head of East Jakarta Youth Arena Management Unit, Dedi Dwi Widodo said those personnel will be placed at six venues in East Jakarta.

"We have prepared 10 security and six cleaning personnel for each venue. They will be on standby throughout the event, from November 1 to 10," he said, Thursday (10/30).

Dedi explained that those six venues are the East Jakarta Sports Center is for table tennis and para-table tennis, and the Pulo Gadung Sports Hall is for the badminton venue.

Next are the Ciracas Sports Hall is for women's basketball, the Ciracas Stadium is for the archery venue, the BMX track is for BMX cycling, and the Gymnastics Hall is for gymnastics.

"We want to provide best service for the athletes, officials, and spectators at this prestigious national-scale event, especially at the venue which is used for two sports at once," he explained.

He added that the six venues are temporarily closed from November 1-10, 2025 for activities other than POPNAS and PEPARPENAS.

"Residents can use other sports arenas in Jakarta to do their sports activities," he stated.
