Next week, Elevation of Jalan Swadaya I Completed

Cilincing Sub-district Bina Marga Implementation Unit Head, Hartanto said, the Jalan Swadaya I is elevated because the area is low-lying and the drainage system is inadequate. As a result, during the rainy season, flooding often occurs reaching 20 centimeters deep.

"This road is elevated by about 30-40 centimeters to anticipate flooding," he expressed, Tuesday (11/4).

He explained, the work involved six workers to evelate the road as high as 550 meters with 3.5 meters wide.

"We're doing this using rubble and scraped asphalt, which will later be covered with hot asphalt to make it stronger. Currently, we are installing the foundation for the divider and drainage," he explained.

He added, it has been underway since October 23, 2025, and the progress has now reached 40 percent.

"Everything is running smoothly. Hope this will be beneficial for the residents and they can pass through safely and comfortably," he hoped.

Semper Timur Urban Village Head, Tien Septimar uttered, the elevation of Jalan Swadaya I stretches across the areas of RT 01, 02, 07, and 08.

"I appreciate the officers who responded quickly to our report. After it is done, the Water Resources Sub-agency will also do mud dredging and channel repairs to increase water capacity," he added.

This work received appreciation from the public figure from RW 11, Semper Barat Urban Village, Nahuwan.

"The road often floods during rain, so it needs to be elevated. Residents are very happy because they will be able to pass and do activities more safely and comfortably," he admitted.
