Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW) 2025 held on November 6-9 at Kartika Expo, Balai Kartini, South Jakarta brings theme "Essential Lab: Crafting the Future of Modest Fashion for Every Lifestyle".

The event provides interesting activities namely fashion show, trade exhibition, talk show, workshop, business matching, and business networking.

Indonesian Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, stated that the JMFW event is a manifestation of the commitment of his ministry and stakeholders to developing the production sector for introduction to the global market.

According to him, this event also serves as a platform for cross-sector collaboration to strengthen Indonesia's position on the international stage.

"Fashion is not just a trend or clothing, but rather an expression of identity, character, and values ​​with broad and profound meaning. Especially in a style of dress that demonstrates modesty and elegance, while remaining modern, creative, and globally competitive," he said, Thursday (11/6).

He explained that according to the State of the Global Islamic Economy (SGIE) report, Indonesia currently maintains its third-place ranking in the global Islamic economy. This achievement reflects the consistency and strengthening of the national halal ecosystem.

"This achievement is not only assessed from an economic perspective, but is also the result of synergy between the government, fashion industry players, and designers in building a strong ecosystem, as well as the support of digital media that expands the reach and strengthens Indonesia's image globally," he explained.

Meanwhile, Fajarini Puntodewi, Director General of National Export Development at the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, added that JMFW 2025 will be a platform for experimentation, collaboration, and the search for new forms that are relevant to today's lifestyles.

"At JMFW 2025, we are presenting talk shows and workshops. The main stage will showcase hundreds of works by Indonesian modest fashion designers through a fashion show parade," she said.

According to him, JMFW 2025 also provides exhibition space for businesses to showcase their best products through a trade exhibition. This event provides a significant opportunity for businesses to promote their product offerings and explore potential business partnerships with local and international buyers.

"JMFW 2025 is not just a fashion show, but an event that showcases the strength of Indonesia's creative industry," she added.

Moreover, Head of South Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, and Small and Medium Enterprise (PPKUKM) Sub-agency, Parulian Tampubolon appreciated the event that also involves fashion MSMEs.

"Hopefully JMFW will have a very significant positive impact, especially on the economic cycle of fashion business actors," he hoped.
