Trees Maintenance in West Jakarta Intensified

West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency has pruned and cut 80 prone to broken and fall trees in eight districts.

66 trees were pruned

Sub-agency Head, Dirja Kusuma said the handling of these trees is run to prevent trees from falling due to extreme weather which has frequently occurred recently.

76 Trees in East Jakarta Pruned

"We also cooperated with Bina Marga Sub-agency, Environmental Sub-agency, and PPSU to assist the work," he said, Tuesday (11/11).

Dirja explained the handling was run in Grogol Petamburan District by eight trees, Kembangan District by nine trees, Tamansari District by 11 trees, and Palmerah District by four trees.

Then in Tambora District by 27 trees, Kalideres District by 12 trees, Kebon Jeruk District by three trees, and Cengkareng District by six trees.

"66 trees were pruned and 14 trees were cut down," he explained.

With this activity, he added, his side is committed to continuing to maintain environmental safety and comfort, especially regarding the danger of falling trees during heavy rain accompanied by strong winds.

"We are ready to accept complaints regarding trees deemed dangerous. Once a complaint is received, we will assess their condition and take appropriate action," he stated.
