Pramono Opens the Jakarta Open International Roller Skating Championship 2025

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung opened the Jakarta Open International Roller Skating Championship 2025 on Jalan Danau Sunter Selatan, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Friday (11/14).

The championship is participated by 1,300 participants, including several from friendly countries. Pramono said that this Jakarta Open International demonstrates Jakarta's continued push to become a sports tourism city.

City Government Bans Roller Skates on Main Roads

"This is proof that we continue to push ourselves as a sports tourism city," he said.

Pramono hopes this championship will produce high-achieving roller skaters. He emphasized that roller skating has consistently been the top medal-winning sport at the PON.

"Hopefully Jakarta athletes will continue to fight to be able to contribute to Jakarta and to Indonesia," he hoped.

Furthermore, Pramono emphasized that roller skating is not just a speed contest, but a sport that demands discipline, courage, perseverance, as well as togetherness in upholding sportsmanship.

"I would also like to express my appreciation to the Youth and Sports Agency for organizing this event well," he praised.
