Channel on Jalan Palem Ciracas Being Revitalized

Eight personnel from the Water Resources Executing Unit (SDA) are revitalizing the water channel on Jalan Palem V, RT 08/06, Ciracas, East Jakarta.

The work has been done manually since November 24

Ciracas Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Yulia Indah said, the revitalization of a 65-meter-long water channel was conducted using a 40x40 centimeter U-ditch.

"The work has been done manually since November 24 and is targeted to be completed by December 20. Currently, the progress is at 40 percent," she expressed, Saturday (12/6).

According to her, this is done because the channel condition is inadequate and still uses plastering with dimensions of 20 centimeters.

Local Resident, Farida (37) admitted, the initial condition of the channel was not up to standard as it was built by residents autonomously. It was also small, only about 20 centimeters, making it unable to accommodate high water flow during heavy rain.

"We express our thanks and appreciation to the personnel who have implemented the residents' proposal," he stated.
