Residents Appreciate Construction of Rainwater Tanks on Pramuka Island

Residents appreciate the construction of a rainwater storage tank in RT 04/04, Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands.

RW 04 Pramuka Island Resident, Yakub (57), expressed his satisfaction with the construction of the rainwater storage tank. The facility is deemed highly beneficial for the local community to increase clean water supplies.

“We're very grateful for the construction of this rainwater storage tank. Hopefully, it can help us, especially when water is scarce,” he expressed, Thursday (12/11).

This project received appreciation from RW 04 Chairman, Panggang Island, Titin.

"Now, it has entered the rainy season. This storage tank can also be used during the dry season," he explained.

Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Head, Mustajab explained, the construction of water tanks aims to improve the availability of clean water for the community and tourists visiting the Pramuka Island area.

"The capacity of this rainwater storage reaches 1,050 liters," he explained.

He explained that the construction of the water tank was done manually by 11 personnel from Pramuka Island. The tank's foundation was built 100 centimeters high and 60 centimeters wide, tailored to the building conditions and requirements at the site.

He also hoped that with this storage facility, rainwater utilization could be more optimal and support the needs of the community and the tourism sector on Pramuka Island.

"I am grateful that the construction, which began in early December, is finally complete. Hopefully, it will be beneficial for many people," he concluded.
