"All work was carried out by a third party with a budget sourced from the APBD of Rp 56.1 billion," he said, Thursday (12/18).
Although the physical work has been completed, Saugi appealed to residents to temporarily not use the reservoir area before it is inaugurated.
Apart from functioning as a flood control, he explained, this reservoir is also equipped with various facilities to support community activities, such as a jogging track, three outdoor gym units, a basketball court, and a green area with ornamental plants.
"The reservoir is equipped with 67 LED garden lights, 42 CCTV units spread across a number of points, and three spotlights," he explained.
There is also a Cipayung District Water Resources Management Unit office, a prayer room, a security post, a meeting hall with a capacity of around 50 people, open and closed warehouses, six gazebos complete with benches, and toilets spread across three locations.
Meanwhile, member of RW 06 LMK of Cilangkap Urban Village, Dwi Hartanti appreciated the East Jakarta Government, especially the Water Resources Sub-agency for revitalizing the Giri Kencana Reservoir.
"It is hoped that the reservoir can function optimally as a flood control facility as well as a sports and recreation facility for the surrounding community," he hoped.
