Pramono ensured that the Jakarta administration would provide necessary services for the demonstrators while prioritizing public order.

Governor Assures 2026 Wage Hike for JakartaHe noted that while labor groups are calling for raises, Jakarta still offers the highest minimum wage in the country.
"Jakarta’s UMP is the highest among all provinces," he asserted.
This wage was determined after a transparent and lengthy consultation process with stakeholders.
He confirmed, the city used an alpha of 0.75 for the calculation. Alongside the new wage, workers will benefit from several government incentives. These include free public transport, cheaper food, and subsidized water services.
"We are committed to providing non-wage support like free transit and affordable food to help our workers," he closed.
