Want to Contribute for Sumatra Disaster at New Year's Eve? Here's How

The Jakarta Provincial Government, in collaboration with Baznas Bazis and Bank Jakarta, is conducting a humanitarian donation for survivors of flash floods and landslides in Sumatra. The donation will coincide with New Year's Eve 2026 celebrations in the capital.

QRIS donations can be accessed digitally

Jakarta Assistant of Economy and Monetary, Suharini Eliawati explained the Jakarta Provincial Government, together with Baznas Bazis Jakarta and Bank Jakarta, is making it easier for people who want to share kindness at the end of the year through the QRIS digital payment system.

"QRIS donations can be accessed digitally through the official Instagram account @baznasbazisdkijakarta, and are also available physically at New Year's Eve event locations," she explained, Monday (12/29).

Jakarta Provincial Government through Tourism and Creative Economy Agency will place the QR code at a number of strategic areas.

"This step is taken so that people can donate quickly, safely and comfortably, without reducing the enjoyment of enjoying the city atmosphere," she added.

Donation QR codes will be installed at various locations during the 2026 New Year's Eve celebrations, including the HI Roundabout, Sarinah, UPK Kota Tua, the Fatahillah area of ​​Kota Tua, in front of the Inscription Museum (Central Jakarta), and Artha Gading Mall (North Jakarta).

Moreover, the QR code are also available at West Jakarta Mayor Office, Literasi Park, South Jakarta Mayor Office, Velodrome and East Jakarta Mayor Office, Monas Week-UPK Monas, and Jakarta Light Festival-Christmas Edition.

Then it also available at Immersive Anjungan Graha, Christmas Carol, Lapangan Banteng's Festival Musik Jakarta, Untung Jawa Island, and Seribu Islands areas.

"The amount of donations collected for each activity can be monitored in real time by the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency," she stated.
