Bumper-to-Bumper: Heavy Rain Throws Transjakarta Routes Off Track

Torrential downpours and localized flooding caused a massive headache for Jakarta commuters on Monday morning (1/12).

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience

The soggy conditions led to widespread gridlock, resulting in significant service disruptions across several Transjakarta corridors and routes.

Tjahyadi DPM, Head of Transjakarta’s Corporate Secretary and Public Relations, confirmed that buses are currently running behind schedule on Corridors 5, 7, 9, and 10.

The ripple effect of the bumper-to-bumper traffic has also hit several specific routes, including 5C, 7C, 7D, 7P, 7W, 9A, 9C, B41, and D11, along with a number of Mikrotrans feeder services.

“We sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience. We urge our passengers to keep their wits about them and exercise extra caution on the rain-slicked roads,” Tjahyadi stated.

To stay up to speed on the latest service adjustments, commuters are encouraged to check the TJ: Transjakarta app or follow the agency’s official social media channels for real-time updates
