Inundation on Jalan Raya Bogor Recedes Gradually

As many as 20 joint personnel were deployed to handle inundation on Jalan Faya Bogor, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. The flooding that occurred due to the overflow of the Kali Baru River has gradually receded.

"The inundation on Jalan Raya Bogor is handled well . However, the problem is that the water level in Kali Baru is still high so it will take time to handle it," he said, Monday (1/12).

Ali added that one mobile pump of East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency and one mobile pump of Kramat Jati Water Resource Unit were deployed to move the water from the road.

"The floodwaters are now gradually receding. At 3:30 PM, the remaining water level was about five centimeters," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of Kramat Jati Fire Handling and Rescue Sector, Parlin Nainggolan said his side also deployed one mobile pump and one portable pump, as well as six personnel.

"The height of the puddle is less than one meter, so we don't use a quick response pump," he said.

Moreover, Head of RT 03/15 of Cililitan Urban Village, Fahrizal admitted the inundation on residential and Jalan Raya Bogor occurred at 9:30 AM during the heavy rain.

"There are around 30 houses affected by flooding with water levels reaching 30 centimeters," he admitted.

He hopes that the Kali Baru can be dredged so that its capacity can be maximized and the water can flow more smoothly.
