Heads Up, Motorists: Traffic Shake-up Hits Several Pesanggrahan Roads

Traffic diversions have been put in motion across several roads in Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, as PAM Jaya kicks off its clean water pipeline installation.

From January 15 through the end of June 2026

Pesanggrahan Sub-district Head, Angga Saputra, had his boots on the ground today to inspect the work, ensuring the project runs like clockwork while keeping public disruption to a minimum.

To ensure residents are not left in the dark, officials have proactively spread the word about the new traffic flow to keep the daily commute smooth sailing.

PAM JAYA Asked to Anticipate Congestion in Pipeline Excavation Projects

"This project is a recipe for major traffic snarls, particularly around Pesanggrahan and Petukangan Selatan," he expressed, Tuesday (1/20).

Motorists should brace for a shake-up as traffic diversions take effect on Jalan Bintaro Puspita, Jalan Bintaro Permai, Jalan Kodam Bintaro, Jalan Pesanggrahan Indah, and Jalan Garuda.

To keep the area from reaching a standstill, officials are doubling down on traffic management during the dreaded morning and evening rush hours.

"This is slated to run from January 15 through the end of June 2026," he added.

Angga offered his sincere apologies for the bump in the road, acknowledging that the construction will likely throw a wrench into the daily commute.

However, he urged residents to bear with the disruption, as the project is a vital investment to beef up the city’s water supply and ensure top-notch quality for the long haul.

"I’m calling on the public to bear with us as we carry out these essential upgrades. I expect all field personnel to join forces and work hand-in-glove to ensure we keep gridlock at bay," he explained.

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head, Bernad Oktavianus Pasaribu added that at least four personnel are on the beat every day to keep traffic moving in both directions.

"We’ve implemented a two-shift system for morning and evening coverage," he explained.

He emphasized that it is an all-hands-on-deck effort, with various agencies joining forces to ensure that commuters feel safe and sound as they navigate the construction zone.

"With every team member on the ball and fully prepared on the front lines, we aim to nip any traffic snarls in the bud before they affect the public," he remarked.
