The floodwaters on Jalan Gaya Motor Raya and Jalan Gaya Motor 1, 2, and 3, Sungai Bambu Urban Village, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, have receded, Thursday (1/22).

It didn't last long

He added that flooding on Jalan Gaya Motor Raya this morning reached approximately 30 centimeters. Meanwhile, on Jalan Gaya Motor 1, 2, and 3, the water level ranged from 10 to 50 centimeters.

"It didn't last long and now the condition has subsided," he said.

To handle the impact of the flooding, Winarko added, his party deployed 12 PPSU personnel who were spread across four affected locations.

"PPSU personnel cleaned up the rubbish carried by the water flow and regulated traffic so that residents' activities could continue to run smoothly," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of Tanjung Priok District's Water Resources Unit, Neti Heriati stated the flooding on the Jalan Gaya Motor area did not last long because the drainage system was functioning well.

Based on the results of monitoring in the field, she added, no flooding has been found in other areas in Tanjung Priok District.

"Rainfall intensity is expected to continue to increase over the next few days. All personnel and equipment are on standby," she admitted.
