Officials Confirm Jakarta is Fully Flood-Free

The Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) confirmed that all floodwaters across the capital have fully subsided as of Monday (1/26) at 3 AM.

Grassroots elements, including RT/RW and community leaders, were also vital in the response efforts

BPBD Head, Isnawa Adji stated that while heavy rainfall last Thursday (1/22) triggered flooding in various locations, the situation is now under control.

He credited the successful recovery to seamless cross-agency collaboration, ensuring all affected areas were cleared in a timely manner.

Dredging of Gang Puskesmas Drainage Completed

The Jakarta BPBD, in coordination with the Water Resources (SDA), Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat), Public Works, and Environmental agencies—alongside Satpol PP and local PPSU squads—mobilized personnel and heavy-duty equipment. Mobile pumps were strategically deployed to fast-track water suction and ensure all drainage systems reached peak performance.

"Grassroots elements, including RT/RW and community leaders, were also vital in the response efforts," he added.

So, he urges residents to stay vigilant and immediately contact the 24-hour Jakarta Siaga 112 hotline for any emergency assistance
