MRT Phase 2 Construction Around Thamrin Entrance 4 Starts, Traffic Rearranged

The Jakarta Transportation Agency is implementing traffic engineering in connection with the implementation of the MRT Phase 2 Segment CP-205 work, namely in the form of casting of Thamrin Entrance 4 on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Central Jakarta.

This traffic engineering will be implemented from January to October 2026, every day from 10 PM to 4 AM.

Head of Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo explained traffic engineering is carried out to support smooth and safe traffic flow during construction work, especially at night and early morning.

The trackwork casting location is carried out via Entrance 4 MRT Phase 2 CP-201 on Jalan MH Thamrin, precisely in front of the Sari Pacific Hotel.

"This casting work requires traffic management due to the activity of mixer trucks entering and leaving around the work location," he explained, Tuesday (1/27).

Meanwhile, the waiting and queuing area for mixer trucks is located in the Thamrin 10 area, and parking on the roadside is not permitted to prevent disruption to traffic flow.

He added that the Jakarta Transportation Agency also adjusted the casting work schedule so as not to disrupt the implementation of the Car Free Day which is routinely held on Jalan MH Thamrin to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman.

"The agency urges the public to always follow the directions of officers in the field and prioritize safety when passing around work locations," he stated.
