Blue Troops Handle Collapsed Ciliwung River Reservoir in Cililitan

Head of Kramat Jati Water Resource Unit, Mukhlis said the retaining wall, approximately four meters high, collapsed along a length of approximately five meters.

"Emergency handling of the landslide retaining wall has begun since January 26, 2026 by installing bamboo wood and debris material which is put into sacks," he said, Wednesday (1/28).

He explained that emergency response were immediately carried out to prevent the landslide of the Ciliwung River retaining wall from spreading further.

"The target is to be completed within the next week. Currently, work is still ongoing in stages," he explained.

Meanwhile, a local resident, Haryadi (41), expressed his appreciation and thanks to the unit for responding quickly to public reports regarding the landslide retaining wall.

"If it is not handled immediately, it is feared that the landslide will spread to other parts and could endanger residents," he stated.
