Djarot: Civil Servants Must Work Harder

The momentum of Eid ul-Fitr celebration is a moment of rise after conducting fasting for a full month. In that moment, Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat appeals all civil servants to work better for citizens' interest. 

Apparatus should be trustworthy and work for and trusted by public

"Apparatus should be trustworthy and work for and trusted by public," said Djarot when he held the open house of Eid ul-Fitr 1436 H, at City Hall, Friday (7/17). 

Because, he added, all Jakarta government apparatus are paid with citizen's fund. "We're all citizen's servants. Hence, we should be able to serve sincerely as mandate given," he expressed. 

Vice Governor Would Not Hold Another Open House

Former Mayor of Blitar also hoped citizens could take wisdom substance from Ramadhan. There are three values applied, such as training patience, developing tolerance, and caring of others. 

"These three values which we got from Ramadhan. That shows the fasting we conduct is truly from the heart and soul for going back to the purity," he added. 

As reported earlier, the City Administration held Eid prayer on the City Hall's yard, Friday morning (7/17). It was led by City Secretary, Saefullah. While for Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat along with his wife and his three daughters took prayer in Istiqlal Mosque.
