Seribu Islands' Environment Agency Reacts on Waste Offender

The Seribu Islands Environment Agency Head, Tiur Maenda Hutapea, admitted has reported two boats in Rengat Island to Jakarta Environmental Management Agency (BPLHD). The boats is allegedly disposing waste into the sea.

According to him, punishment based on article 98 Law No 32/2009 awaits the boats if they proven guilty.

As known, earlier, there were two boats namely TB KM 2 and KM Surya Pule Ocemblu 5 suspected dispose diesel oil waste in Rengat Island territorial, Pulau Harapan Urban Village, Seribu Utara Island Sub-District, Wednesday (7/29).

When they caught by Acting Regent of Seribu Islands, Budi Utomo, the ship captain argued that he was experiencing a damage engine.
