10 August, One-Way System will Be Applied in Cikoko Tunnel

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department will impose one way system (SSA) in Cikoko Tunnel towards Cawang Station. The effort aims to parse traffic congestion due to a narrowed road tunnel.
The one way system will be applied from 5 AM to 10 AM heading south and 4 PM to 10 PM heading north
“The deal is result from coordination on last Thursday (7/30) which was attended by various elements. As many residents reported through Qlue about the traffic,” said Head of South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Priyanto, Tuesday (8/4).
According to him, the width of the road is not sufficient for two lanes. The number of vehicle also increases during rush hour.
“At least, there are 400 units of motorcycle passing per 15 minutes and 100 cars units,” he said.
As an initial phase, the socialization was given starting today, while the simulation will be applied on Thursday (8/6) up to Monday (8/10).
"We use banner for socialization. The one way system will be applied from 5 AM to 10 AM heading south and 4 PM to 10 PM heading north," he explained.
