City to Depart 40 Hajj Officers This Year

After passing through a long tight selection, around 40 people are finally appointed as the 2015 Regional Hajj Escort Team (TPHD) and Regional Hajj Healthcare Team (TKHD).

“The appointed hajj officers are those who have never run the hajj,” said Head of Jakarta Education and Spiritual Mental Division (Dikmental), Ahmad Gozali, Thursday (8/13).

They were civil servant who is representing Regional Working Unit (SKPD) and had undergone a series of test. “Before that, we sent a letter to each SKPD to send their candidates. The test itself consists of language, hajj rituals knowledge, general knowledge in terms of hajj implementation,” he uttered.

With details, those officers are 21 members of Regional Hajj Guidance Team (TPHD) and 19 members of Regional Hajj Healthcare Team (TKHD). “Based on Religious Ministry Decree No. 32/2015 the hajj quota in Jakarta is 5,668 people from 13 batches. They will be departed from Jakarta Pondok Gede embarkation which slated on August 21 to October 12,” he explained.

To depart them, the government had allocated Rp 40 billion. “Such budget will be used for living cost over 38 days, set up the post, transportation and 13 lodgments in Arab Saudi,” he uttered.

One of the TKHD officers, Bonnie Pahlavie admitted he deliberately underwent the test through online system. “Alhamdulilah, I passed the test and can run hajj,” he told.
