KJP Program Right on Target

Jakarta Governor Basuki T. 'Ahok' Purnama admitted that the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) program this year is already on target. The whole transaction is using non-cash and total 97 percent of card was used to purchase school equipment.

Disdik Investigating KJP Abuser ModeAhok added that this year KJP system is already good. The governor also cooperates with book stores to smooth the KJP holder shopping the school equipment.
"Almost 100 book stores have installed the Electronic Data Capture (EDC)," Ahok added.
He planned to implement similar way in Tanah Abang Market and Asemka Market. Previously, this year plan will be applied in 2016, but he preferred
this year to avoid any disadvantages.Previous KJP policy let the KJP holder to withdraw money but in limited amount. Elementary school student can withdraw money once in two weeks, junior high school student withdraws three times a month, and senior high school student withdraws weekly. Each withdrawal is only Rp 50 thousand.
This year, KJP is disbursed to 489,150 students; 291,500 students are state school and 197,250 students are private school. Elementary student grabbed KJP fund Rp 210 thousand/month, junior high school Rp 260 thousand/month, senior high school Rp 375 thousand/month, and vocational high school Rp 390 thousand/month.
