DKI Jakarta becomes city with the highest Indonesia Democracy Index (IDI) by 84.70 points in 2014. The point is bigger compared to 2013 by 71.18.

Sri Santo Budi, Jakarta Head of Social Statistic for Central Statistic Agency, said there are three aspects of appraisal starting from civil freedom (from 88.72 to 91.72), political rights (55.08 to 73.94), and democracy instances (74.69 to 92.97).
"Data collecting is based on local newspaper review, bylaw and governor regulation document review, focus group discussion, and depth interview," he said, Thursday (8/13).
According to him, there are three variable point declined compared to previous year. Those are freedom of unity (98.75 to 91.25), fair and independent election (100.00 to 97.47), and City Council role (67.38 to 66.26).
"The conclusion is, we have good democracy climate and it will attract investor surely," he added.
