Scores of Plant Vendors in Pulo Asem Utara will Be Arranged

Dozens of decorative plants owned by street vendors alongside Jalan Pulo Asem Utara, Jati Urban Village, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, will be arranged thus they will not use the sidewalks anymore. 

They would be useful if they are arranged. Besides boosting economic, they can also be greening the environment

Jati Urban Village Head, Dewi Purnama Sari stated majority of 73 street vendors who have been selling for more than 6 years, not heeding the existing rule aspects. They open their stall along the sidewalk and build illegal buildings on the riverside. 

According to her, actually if they are guided and arranged well their existence would be useful.

"The arrangement was already programmed. They would be useful if they are arranged. Besides boosting economic, they can also be greening the environment," she expressed, Thursday (8/13). 

Eventually, she continued, after being arranged, those street vendors will be integrated with auto-debet system via Bank DKI to pay the retribution. 

"They will also be guided to build waste bank and composting. We have socialized and they already agreed," she closed.
