No Compensation for Illegal Citizens in Kampung Pulo

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama disclosed that he was previously about to give compensation money to Kampung Pulo citizens amounted to 25 percent of the taxable value of property (NJOP). But it cancelled due to there is no legal basis. 

Indeed, we planned to give compensation. But the regulation is not found

He expressed Jakarta Provincial Government had issued Gubernatorial Regulation No.190/2014 on Guidance of Giving Aid to State Land Cultivators. It was issued particularly to relocate citizen around Ciliwung Riverbank. 

"Indeed, we planned to give compensation. But the regulation is not found," said Ahok, at City Hall, Tuesday (8/25). 

Basuki Targeted Kampung Pulo Is Free from Flood

He asserted, compensation is only dedicated to those who have land certificate but it is in form of flat. Yet it is adjusted with land area owned. Unfortunately, none of 520 plots impacted on the normalization has the certificate. They only have building trading certificate on the state land. 

"We can't find the regulation yet we have another solution. We will enhance the house. If you have land and the certificate. I will compensate it to be 1.5 times. 100 meter compensated to be 150 meter and the Right to Manage (HPL) certificate. It's impossible to give the compensation money," he explained.
