10 Parks in East Jakarta Improved

East Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-Department will re-function 10 parks to become a place for socialize, sport, and interact each other.

“We have 46 parks that will be improved this year, but we will do it by priority,” told Mimi Rahmiati, Head of East Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-Department, Wednesday (8/26).

According to her, his side is still measuring and reviewing all of prioritized parks. “Most of the parks have changed its function into parking lot, semi-permanent building, chicken coop, mosque, even kindergarten,” she told.

Some parks that will be improved are Ikapola Park and Bambu Duri Park. “The area declined from 2,344 to 600 square meters. We also improve children playground and maintain Embrio Park, then eliminate chicken coop in Cipinang Muara Green Open Space (RTH),” Rahmiati uttered.

While Segitiga Maman Park, Mimi admitted still considering safety factor because located on intersection. “We could make it as passive park,” she added.

Mimi added, the improvement carried out simultaneously with garden and Child-Friendly Integrated parks maintenance in East Jakarta.
