The high of birth and population growth rates in East Jakarta is not following with the adequate number of midwife. As a result, the area is considered as area of mother and baby death prone after giving birth.

It became one of the important points discussed during "Licensing Practices of Midwives and Midwifery Care Giving to Reach Good Generation" seminar which was held by Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI) in Multipurpose Building Block C of East Jakarta Mayor Office, Thursday (8/27).
The event which was participated by 250 participants purposed to improve midwives' knowledge and competence.
2 Mothers Give Birth in Refugee CampThe other important points discussed are discipline in licensing midwife's independent practice and improve midwives delima (standard quality of midwives).
"Hopefully, IBI could create a good generation," said Head of Social Welfare Division for East Jakarta Administration, Yeni Asnita.
