Garden City Made as Comparative Study Centre

The existence of a city garden that located at RT 14/06, Angkasa Pura Complex, Kebon Kesong, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, attracted the attention of a number of countries. No wonder, within the last year, the place has become the center of a comparative study by the organization or community care for the environment.

On September 10-11, 2015, the city will also be verified to participate in the climate village program at the provincial level

According to Herry Purnama, Head of Kemayoran Sub-District, those country representatives are from United States, South Korea, Thailand and Malaysia. They are interested in studying agricultural system that is applied in such garden city.

"There is also a rose farmer group consisting of 20 people. They actively treat and do cropping every day," he told, Friday (28/8).

Head of Kemayoran Sub-District Agriculture Section, Bambang Diyantoro added the city garden has also become part of the climate village. The city received appreciation from the Ministry of Environment in July 2015 ago.

"On September 10-11, 2015, the city will also be verified to participate in the climate village program at the provincial level," he voiced.

As known, the Kemayoran Garden City has lot of programs that have been run by farmer group and local people. Among them are Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), food security, reforestation, climate change, health, sanitation, clean water, rainwater harvesting system, and etc.
