Relaying on PT Food Station Tjipinang's data, the incoming and outgoing rice flow in Cipinang Wholesale Rice Market is reaching 3,000 tons. Predictably, the supply will remain stable until upcoming November.

Food Data Central: Rice Stock is Safe until Eid ul Fitr

Section Head of Development and Food Data for Cipinang Whole Rice Market, Eri Muhtarsid stated that mostly rice stock in Jakarta is from West Java, which includes 60 percent. It is followed by 20 percent from Central Java, 3 percent from East Java, and the rest from other regions in Indonesia.

“Not entire paddy field experiences harvest, yet we still have 40 thousand tons stock. I predict it will safe until Eid ul-Adha,” he expressed, Tuesday (9/1).

He is optimistic there will be no hiking price ahead of Eid ul-Adha.

Meanwhile, Head of Indonesian Puppeteers Association (Perpadi), Neli Sukidi acknowledged according to previous lesson, ahead of Eid ul-Adha, there was no price hike in market demand. Up to now, the price hike does not happen in market.

In details, the current rice price type IR 3 (64) is Rp 8,400-Rp 8,500/kg, IR 2 Rp 8,900-Rp 9,000/kg, IR 1 Rp 9,200-9,300/kg and IR Super above Rp 9,500/kg. While for premium is around Rp 12,000/kg.
