Tens of local residents and Infrastructure and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers cleaned up the Buaran connecting channel as long as 300 meters at RW 02, Penggilingan Urban Village, Cakung, East Jakarta, Sunday (9/6).
Its implementation was involved 35 PPSU officers and 50 residents
Previously, the residents were complaining on trash piles in the channel that feared would make sediment and clog water flow thus makes overflowing in rainy season.
"That's why, we cleaned it up before rainy season comes. Its implementation was involved 35 PPSU officers and 50 residents," said Penggilingan Urban Village, Usdiyati.

"Besides full of trash, the channels also spread a rotten smell," she closed.
